Antonio Francesco Gramsci was an Italian Marxist philosopher, journalist, linguist, and writer who has been recognized as one of the most influential political strategists in history. Gramsci understood that the Western world could not be overtaken by brute force and violence alone, as Marxist ideology divides people into groups and pits them against each other. Instead, he proposed a more insidious approach of infiltration and manipulation.
By infiltrating institutions such as media, government, universities, and even churches, Gramsci believed that Marxists could slowly and deliberately transform the moral fabric of society. By controlling the discourse and shaping the narrative, they could discourage intellectual discussion and prevent people from engaging in pedagogical reasoning. Instead, they would be taught what to think, rather than how to think.
This slow and steady approach to social change would be achieved through seductive weapons of manipulation and deception. Gramsci recognized that many social classes shared common ground in their Christian values, and sought to undermine those values by introducing new ideas such as “political correctness” and “offensiveness”. By reforming morals and subtly shifting the cultural zeitgeist, Gramsci believed that Marxism could eventually transform the West from within.
Sadly, Gramsci’s teachings are not new to many countries, as they have been successfully implemented in various parts of the world. In the West, however, we are still fighting an ongoing battle for our minds and our humanity. The Age of Enlightenment, while opening doors to progress, has also led to the dehumanization of life through materialism and atheistic views.
Secular humanism, a philosophy that values the individual over community, has seduced many by convincing them that they are capable of solving problems independently, without relying on the teachings found in the Bible. This has led to a breakdown in the family unit and a devaluation of life. Moreover, the rejection of absolute moral standards has created a moral relativism that erodes the foundations of society.
In conclusion, Gramsci’s teachings are a wake-up call to the West. We must recognize that our cultural institutions are being infiltrated and transformed by those who seek to undermine our values and destroy our way of life. It is up to us to remain vigilant and to resist this insidious assault on our minds and our humanity.
